NICE TO MEET YOU!

Hey there! I’m Chelsea or (Chels E.) and I’m a wife, momma to two amazing little boys, and a working Fine Artist! I’ve loved color since I was a little girl and have been painting with those colors pretty much ever since.

​My medium of choice is acrylic paint on paper, canvas, and wood panels. And my weapons of choice are paint brushes and palette knives. 

I have a BA in Fine Art from Purdue University with a focus in painting and silversmithing. My paintings are primarily created in a spontaneous and adventuresome fashion with thick textured layers.  I like to infuse my work with bright unexpected pops of color that bring any space a sense of joy, boldness, and whimsy.

I create to escape, meditate, pray, live purposefully, and to bring a surprising bit of happiness to myself and others. I think of my work as being like the first Chrochuses of spring. They dare to push themselves up above the grey barely thawed ground, even though the frost may return. And because of their courage, they are the ones that get to boldly bring that unexpected joy and alert the world that spring is on its way and winter won’t last forever.

​My art has always been a lifeboat to me...a true gift that my God knew I needed. And when I share it with you all, my hope is that I get to bring you with me on this brave adventure of sharing this joy with the world and putting a little more light into the darkness.
